I can't thank most of you people enough, I've had about 25 to 30 responses
to Baby's litter problem. I've already tried most suggestions, heard of
some, others quite weird :-) nothing has been very successful for us. I can
say though that Baby hasn't used the bed as a liter pan in almost a week.
Every time he gets up there we sort of rough house for a minute then put him
right on the floor, so I don't know if he has changed his mind about the
spot or of we changed it for him. Either way I'm glad since the new
mattress comes tomorrow (Thurs.).

The latest thing I am trying is to confine him to a travel cage because the
regular cage is to big and he wasn't learning anything in there. It is
quite small, you can only fit one fert, a small litter pan and a plastic
food/ water tray on the door. This has been since yesterday afternoon, I
put him in he took a nap then when he woke up I held him in the litter pan
for a minute. He did his business, I tried to give him a treat (he's not
big into treats) and lots of praise but he just wanted out. I let him out
for an hour then he went back in, took his nap and didn't wake up again in
time for me to put him in the pan. Over night he christened all 3 other
corners missing only the one with the pan in it. One of those hits was on
the shirt on the floor and the other was his food bowl though I don't think
he meant to do that. Someone suggested leaving his bowl like that for a
while but so far I haven't. This afternoon again he woke up, I put him in
the pan, he did his thing then after that he was allowed out to play with
Stinky and Pepper. In that 2 hour time frame he went again in the big cage,
to the right of the food bowl on the pillow case rather than in the pan.
Now he is back in the carrier sleeping.....

I've changed the litter twice, no luck so I went back to Yesterday's News, I
also bought bigger pans, from the triangles to small rectangular cat pans
still no changes. I put his poop in the pan, nothing fazes him.

I'm going to continue with this as I am lost for additional ideas. Who
knows maybe he will surprise me and it will just click....like oh, that's
what those things are for :-) Like "hey, I could a had a V-8"

Thanks again to everyone that has tried to help us, between us we have tried
everything, now it is up to Baby.
