Leukemia:
I do not know if Epogen or other meds used in ferrets for anemia are
useful with leukemia but perhaps they are worth consideration.
Transfusions are, of course, possible and often done for ferrets.

I will note past vet posts and am hoping to find something useful.
These are the all of the posts by vets which come up on a search in the
FHL Archives on LEUKEMIA (especially read the ones by which I have put
notes):

http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG2774
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG41
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=YG12393

That one reminds me that I have heard a RUMOR (so it certainly may be
false since most rumors are) that Dr. Kemmerer has done a marrow
transplant. Her contact info for buying consultation was recently given
in the FHL so you can find that using http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org, or by
using the vet's pages (West End AH) and vet lists in the crit. refs. at
http://www.ferretcongress.org .

Remembering what a friend went through with her own marrow transplant
and what was needed I find the possibility questionable, but if I had
a nickle for every time I've been wrong in life...

That one mentioned that someone kept a ferret going for a year with
it (rare but hopeful).

That one above announced a new leukemia drug. (I vaguely thought that
one did... I do NOT know if it has been tried in ferrets or is safe for
them. It is Gleevec by Norvartis which has been tested on CML.)

This one below is not by a vet but clearly explains many things:

There are a number of other posts on the topic and it may be that one
of those will be useful, but I just don't have time to read them all.
