As you probably already know, almost all splenic enlargements in ferrets
are benign.  I have seen many ferrets on post-op "pain killers" be
lethargic and have poor appetites.  The bruising at the incision is common.
If Otter continues to eat poorly, force fed him and discuss with your vet
discontinuing the pain killers.
