Howdy,

First I want to thank everyone who responded about my mom's ferret with
megasophagus. Judging from everybody's response, my mom's on the right
track with the treatment. And it seems to be helping. The last time I
talked to my mom, Suzy hadn't hurked for three days. And she seems much
happier. She's even gained a little weight! It's not as dire a condition
as we thought at first. It's a chronic, progressive disorder, but at this
stage, euthanasia is a long way off.

I also have an adrenal question about Insanity who just had adrenal surgery
a couple weeks ago. How long does it take for things to get back to normal
inside a ferret after adrenal surgery? I'm talking mostly about the hormones
and stuff. The hair loss I'm not really worried about. The main problem I
have is the over-aggressiveness. I want to incorporate my newest guy,
Ka-Boing!, in with the other weezils, but because of the adrenal problems,
Insanity done whoops the tar out of Ka-Boing! (This is why you should never
smoke a ferret, the high levels of tar are unhealthy). So how long will it
take for Insanity to get back his normal level of aggressiveness? I'm
getting really tired of maintaining two cages and coordinating two separate
playtimes. Thanks for any info you can provide.
