I have been a reader of this FML for about a year, have two ferrets, Ginger
(1yr 3mos) and Gilligan (9 mos), Ginger started out as my son's but my
daughter bought her from my son and gave her to me for a combined Mother's
Day & birthday present.  Ginger had been an early Xmas present for my son,
who begged for months to be able to get one, but as you can see Mom ended
up with the baby, and of course when she became properly mine, I decided
she had to have company of course, they got along right from the get go.  I
trained mine to just come to a whistle and rewarded them with a treat, I
was always afraid I wouldn't be able to find the squeeky toy when I really
needed it, but my whistle is always with me
