I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this one?  I thought my ferret
Snickers, age 4, had adrenal.  He developed baldness on his lower back and
lost almost all the hair on his tail.  (He also had a shaved area on his
side from a vet visit about 6 or so months ago where he never regrew the
hair)  His little back (where bald) was getting dry and scaly, so I applied
Jergen's healing lotion to it daily.  After about a week or so I noticed
little patches of hair coming in on his lower back.  In the last month he
has regrown ALL the hair on his lower back...and I may add, it's thicker
than it was before.  He is also regrowing the hair on his tail!  I know
that AFTER surgery they tend to regrow the hair, but has anyoneever had
this happen?  Is it possible that he didn't have adrenal to begin with??
(He was not checked for it by the vet...I just assumed with all the hair
loss that that was what it was).
 
Also, I got a quote from the vet's for adrenal surgery and I thought it was
astronmically out of line...over $900!!!!!  Is this typical of the cost???
