Have a male ferret that is around 4 1/2 years old. Today I can feel the
last rib in his body and it feels out of place. He is wanting to sleep
more than usual. When out, he walks maybe 5 feet and then lays down.
Also, the stool is thick mucous this evening. I gave him his hair ball
remedy in hopes that if it is the start of a blockage, it will help. I
have been watching, and really am not seeing him eat. I have been on the
FAQ reading and still have no ideas of what is wrong. I am wondering if
a rib got broken (he fell in his cage the other day) and could have hurt
his intestines. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
A ferret owner
