for what it is worth...
 
we were at our local pet store and as always i had to stop and see the baby
ferrets...it was just before Christmas...well...they had the exotic birds
on the outsides of their cages...you know...the expensive ones???...one of
them flew over and landed on my husband...and before he could get the bird,
it jumped right into the ferret pen...in a split second a baby ferret
rushed over to that side of the pen and had that bird...with no regard to
what might happen to him...tommy reached in and pried the ferret off the
bird...luckily he did it so quickly that neither were hurt...but it could
have been disasterous... why they had an exotic bird, that had already been
sold!, out of it's cage near the open ferret pen...i haven't a clue...but
it was put back in its cage after being looked over to make sure it did not
get hurt...
 
if it were me...i would have them in seperate rooms...never to meet...
