The swelling in Zingor's elbow has gone down and I know the vet told me
that a fracture would take up to six weeks to heal, but I really think
there's more than a fracture going on. The arm (paw?) sounds "crunchy"
when straightened. It doesn't bother her at all, she's running on it and
bearing weight on it, but it doesn't seem right to me. We've taken 6
x-rays and consulted an ortho vet who was the one that came to the
conclusion that it was a fractured humerus. The vet is aware of the
sound and didn't seem too concerned. It also feels more "boney" around
that elbow (thicker I guess?) Is there anything else that it could be?
Maybe something with the tendons? The x-rays didn't seem to show us
much. Can anyone refer me to a good ferret vet that might be willing to
look over the x-rays for me? I just hate to feel like I should be doing
more...
