I have found that figure-H harnesses rub the fur off an area between the
shoulder blades if worn for long periods.  As a result, I have made my own
harness out of leather...specifically to prevent rubbing.  I understand that
it may have not actually rubbed the furr off, but you can see where the
figure-H harness crosses between the shoulder blades...and it does not look
comfortable.  How is that for a reason for a preference.  Just my two cents
worth.
