The simplest and most easily accepted food and treat for weight gain is
kibble soup. Just soak the ferrets usual (high quality) food in water,
add more water and blend it to a thick tomato soup consistency.

If you don't want to mess with soaking kibble, chicken baby food can be
used instead.

With any new soup, you may have to give them a taste off your fingers the
first several times you offer it. You may even have to offer it several
times for several days before they break down and realize it's good.

Most ferrets will find a little room in their tummy for soup even after
eating their usual kibble meal.
