With regards to the question whether unaltered ferrets get adrenal.
With 330 ferrets surveyed in BF3 (Big Ferret Fact Finder) 16.4% (54
nose count as of 11/27/2008) of them are reporting adrenal disease.
Of that 330 only 14 are unaltered. None of the unaltered ferrets are
reporting adrenal and if adrenal disease affected altered and unaltered
equally than at least 2 unaltered ferrets would be reporting adrenal.
Bear in mind these are very small numbers to draw definitive
conclusions on this question, but it is one of the long term
questions BF3 is definitely watching.
