Hi All!

Ferrets are extremely intelligent. In intelligence studies conducted at
Washington State, ferrets rated higher than dogs! Yes they know their
names - each and everyone of my 17 do. They can be romping in a group
and when I call one name, they'll all look but only the one who I
called will come. To help teach them, I call their name and tap on the
floor with my fingers, this seems to work as after awhile I don't have
to tap and they can distinguish the names. I've also taught tricks to
some - Willow plays vampire, several will sit up on their back haunches for
a treat, some roll over, Zipper will wrap her arms around my wrist when I
reach down so I can easily pick her up and will climb on my back when I
bend over. Ferrets have an enormous learning capability, it is up to us
to teach them.

Hugs to all! tle
