Shelters and breeders being the same people.

Some people do not understand how a person could do both. Some do not
understand how a breeder could not shelter. It won't be resolved here as
it is completely a matter of personal choice. To many of us it is not at
all a conflict of interest. Those who are not breeders can not truly see
into the minds of those who do so they should not set themselves up to
judge the morals of those who do regarding this issue.

This is an issue every bit as touchy as Marshall Farms or colloidal silver.
But some time check the list of noted ferret breeders that also have done
sheltering and you will see many many on the list. Also check the list of
people noted for their shelter work and very often you will note that they
happen to be associated with breeding some where as well.

If it's not within a week there is a problem. If we are using a
vasectomized hob we retry after a week. If after that week it didn't work
we go to a hormone injection.

But usually it's no more than three or four days to noticible reduction in
swelling.
