It's my understanding that sable is a color and blaze is a pattern.  Having
never had either of these color/patterns, I don't know for sure.  However,
I do have 3 champagne's (cinnamons) and two of them are siamese (points).
That means I can show them in both champagne (cinnamon) and siamese (point)
at shows.
 
As far as colors and what standards what organizations follow - it would be
nice if everyone used the same standards and terms.  However, that's never
going to happen.  My own opinion on the subject, I have only ever seen one
ferret that I would call a cinnamon (at least by the descriptions used on
LIFE's page) and I believe it may have been owned by the WarmFuzzy shelter.
If anyone has a "real" cinnamon, I would like to see what it looks like,
because the cinnamons I see at shows are NOT red.
