Hi All...

I currently have an eight month old male ferret, Oscar. He is an
*amazing* ferret [I realize we all think that!] but he is really a very
well behaved little man. Socially, I couldn't ask for anything better.
He loves everyone and anyone and has NEVER [and I'm not lying] ever bit or
nipped out of fear, anger or rebellion. Even my vet commented on how well
behaved he was. She was simply amazed. She said that she had never known
a ferret that was so good b/c normally they have tendancy to nip.

So, enough bragging! My problem is this. I've been thinking about
getting a second ferret but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. I"m
worried that the second ferret will either make ruin Oscars good attitude.
I'm afraid that he may begin bitting/nipping b/c of jealousy, anger,
rubbing off of bad habits or simply b/c he gets use to playing rough with
a ferret and then translates that over to people. So I was just wondering
if some more knowledgeable people out there have any suggestions for me.
Do you think I should stick with one or do you think that the risk of
adding a second is worth it. And do you even think that there is htat big
of a risk? I love my little boy to death and I just thought that he might
appreciate having a playmate and a sleeping buddy! Thanks for all of the
help!
