Every rule has its exception and I failed to add the above exception to my
"let 'em run" post. We're not able to keep many ferrets in our halfway
house, so we don't have the problem of not being able to give ample run
time. I suppose I intended my post-audience to be the 'casual' ferret
owner as opposed to the insane (read: shelter folk) ferret owner. Your
point is a good one nonetheless.

On food... right now we feed a TF/Excel mixture. We recently got a sample
of Innova cat food. Someone tell me why I shouldn't incorporate this food
into my fuzzies diet?
Protein: 36%; Fat: 20%; Fiber (min): 2.5%; moisture: 10%.
Ingredients (first several): Turkey, Chicken Meal, Chicken, Whole Steamed
Potates, Whole Eggs, Whole Ground Barley, Chicken Fat (pres. w/ Vit E and
Vit C)... This is the ONLY food I've found that has Turkey and Chicken
listed as ingredients (as opposed to meals or by-products). Anyone else
know anything about this (put out by Natura Pet Products). Eukanuba has
also come out with a Kitten Chow recently that stacks up pretty well too;
higher protein and fat than the regular cat food. I don't intend to ever
remove the TF from their diet, but I'll alter the food we 'cut' with as long
as the 'masters' will still eat it!
