People do not like to have their names incorrectly and publicly
attached to products or items even when those items do not have the
potential to cause harm. When the products DO have that potential then
having one's name incorrectly, or falsely, or even just mistakenly
attached to that item can damage a reputation and even damage a career
if people who should know enough to check fail to check the attribution
with the person named.

This means two things: while not all individuals may be harmed by a
product the risk level for some is high enough to cause a need for real
caution, and in the case of ingested Aloe vera directly from the plant
even the ASPCA's Animal Poison Control experts point out that it has
caused poisonings in members of Carnivora for the same reasons that
lilies, a related plant, can because of the nature of the saponins in
those plants. Check that site or past posts since the URL has been
given often recently and can be easily found online.

It also means that incorrectly attaching a person's name to a product
can happen for a variety of reasons with some as simple as a mistake,
but if using that person's name it pays to first beforehand check
directly with the one you are naming to see if your recollection is
correct because that is how it becomes possible to avoid even
accidentally injuring a good person who does a lot to help ferrets.
Doing so also means that others don't have to ask their friends who are
named to help protect those friends. Additionally, it means that making
that same mistake twice which could hurt the professional reputation of
a very good person who helps ferrets could have been avoided.
