I saw the whole episode and HAD to add to Todd's post. The woman had
trained her beautiful ferret, Bridget, with a clicker. She is a
professional dog trainer who uses this method on them. I wish I had taped
this episode, Bridget was going thru this obstacle course and when she was
finished with a segment of it, the woman would click the clicker and give
Bridget a treat. It was terrific! It really showed how smart ferrets are.
Kodos to Greatest Pets!!

I also have some great news, my little girls Widget has gained 6 grams. I
know that isn't a lot but it is a turn around and hopefully she will be
heavier in the future. She is now 596 grams and her brother, Oso, a
whopping 1420 grams. I still have to force Ensure on her and was wondering
if I should try another flavor. I bought chocolate and maybe she just
doesn't like it so wanted to know if there is a shelter or someone in the
Monmouth County, NJ area who would like some of the case I bought. Let me
know, if you are close enough, I would be happy to drop 3/4 of it off. I
haven't gone thru 1 can of it yet and I bought it a week ago! Maybe it can
help someone else too. Does anyone know where I could get Banana Ensure?
Dr. Doolan said the ferrets he has treated in the past really respond to it.
