Olive oil is fine for mixing with Ferretone to stretch and dilute it, but
it doesn't do much for hairballs.  You need something with petroleum jelly
(Vaseline) or any of the kitty hairball treatments.  Ours like the malt
flavored ones like Kittymalt, or Petromalt.  That coats the hair, untangles
it and pulls it through.
