Hi Everyone,
 
Hugs to all with sick, angeled or missing furchins.
 
Yesterday I learned that my elderly (18) cat Gizmo's time here is
limited.  He is in the early stages of kidney failure.  He's had a few
other surgeries and his age is against him so all we can do now is keep
him comfortable.
 
A few weeks ago I learned that my oldest ferret, PeeWee has
cardiomyopothy.  Since the day I brought Pee home he has been devoted to
Giz.  They eat, sleep and occasionally poop together.  A week or so ago I
caught them both shredding a brand new skein of yarn together.  I have 3
other ferrets and 2 foster kids but Pee prefers to spend his time with
Giz.
 
When I got home from the vets yesterday I put the carrier on the kitchen
floor and just opened it so Giz could come out.  I left it there just out
of sheer laziness.  This morning when I got up Giz was fast asleep in
there.  I made my tea and let all the others out for the day.  All the
other ferrets acted like their usually possessed selves and went about
their business of seek and destroy..  Pee went looking for Giz.  I saw
just his fat butt sticking out of the carrier just starring at Giz.
Then he took off for parts unknown.  A little later he brought out his
favorite afghan and began stuffing and pulling it into the carrier.  When
that was done he left again.  Now here he comes out with a toy I haven't
seen in quite some time.  A toy that is solely his and woe be to the one
that touches it.  It's the first toy Pee ever had.  It's this beat up,
torn leather ball.  There are holes in it everywhere and the stuffing is
sticking out.  He then brought that into the carrier too.  He stuffed
himself in next to Giz and went to sleep.  He's still there now.
 
No one will ever convince me that they don't know.
