Greetings all,

Just wanted to add my 2 cents about fuzzies and dogs. My wife and I are
owned by the 2 ferts, Meeko and Fester, and 4 dogs. We have never let our
dogs around the ferrets unsupervised, if for no other reason than the size
difference. We have one Shepherd mix, one Rott-Husky mix and one
Rott-something mix. We also have a Shih-Tzu, who is the ruler of the house.
She keeps the other big dogs in check, but doesn't like the ferrets. Keeba,
the Rott-Husky mix is the only one that we really allow any real contact
with the ferrets. It was so cute!

After a few moments of tormenting Keeba, the two furballs wandered off
playing chase, and Keeba laid down on the floor. Then Fester started
climbing all over Keeba and she didn't move a muscle, except when Fes tried
to clean her ears. She wouldn't have any part of that. I don't think she
quite trusts him, after he got her eyelid and made her yelp.

Just this weekend, we built a "cage" that takes up about 1/2 of a long room.
About a 10' X 7' area solely for the furries. It's really a simple
enclosure, consisting of a 4' X 8' piece of plywood, plus another piece,
along with a couple of 2x4's. Now we can rest easy that the dogs are
protected from the ferrets!  <G>

I'm still in the process of trying to get some pictures scanned in to put
out on my web page. I thought I had them scanned, but I couldn't read the
file after I scanned the pics. And they say that computers make life
easier. (Yeah, right!)

As always, I love all the stories, especially Paw-Paw's and Dayna's. I
grieve with everyone else about the NJ, CA, and Kansas ferrets that have
been needlessly killed. Rest easy knowing that just like every dog will
have it's day, so will all the ferrets. In other words, this Grant Kozak
guy better enjoy his life now, 'cause he sure ain't gonna enjoy what
follows.

 Later,

 Wayne and Rel (human pets)
Meeko and Fester (Daddy, get some of your redneck friends and lets go to NJ!)
Charro, Sasha, Keeba (Mom! Fester bit me and Meeko stole my chewie toy!),
and Max.
