If I'm not mistaking, the pet store in question is Magoo's in Flint,
Michigan.

Dr. Stephen Halstead is the Companion Animal and Equine Species Program
Manager Veterinarian with the State of Michigan Dept. of Agriculture is
already aware of this situation. I have discussed this facility with him
and have his assurances an inspector will be reviewing this complaint.
He did suggest contacting Animal Control in Genesee County.

Complaints of pet stores in Michigan can be addressed to:
Dr. Stephen Halstead
Companion Animal and Equine Species Program Manager Veterinarian
Animal Industry Division
State of Michigan Dept. of Agriculture
P O Box 30017
Lansing MI 48909

There is question currently whether Magoos is a licensed pet store and
that is being investigated also.

The Dept of Ag is in a position to close businesses in the pet retail
trade due to recent legislation. Initial applications for a pet shop
license is now $200. A fee of $100 is now charged for a renewal of a pet
shop license. IF a pet shop has complaints lodged against it at time of
renewal, the Dept of Ag can reject the renewal and thus put the shop out
of business.
