Things are progressing here, at least from the looks of the big hole
we now have in the ground. We spend much time in town trying to line
up contractors, find things that our concrete guy is going to need as
he begins the major "pours". Mac seems to be happy with all of this
fresh air, takes long walks around the RV park in the AM, and although
most people know her she attracts great interest. Neighbors have seen
coyotes near the park so we keep her safe at hand or in her sturdy
cage.

We suspect that she met a bear last week. We had left her in the
4-runner, in the shade, in her cage, windows half way down for air.
while we went to check on the building progress. When we got back to
the park we noticed large paw prints in the dust above the back window,
as though something very tall had stood there to look in. Edwina's
identification book matched them to "black bear". I'm sure no dog could
have been that big and they were certainly not people prints. From now
on Mac stays safely at home.
