My sister and I got into a huge argument a week or so ago. It wouldn't
matter, black is white to her!

We were arguing about how a broken bond can be really devastating to a
ferret. I tried to tell her that ferrets aren't like dogs and cats, (not
that dogs and cats don't form bonds), I was speaking soley about ferrets.

Kim my sister, seems to think that a ferret is no different, a broken bond
is all the same to them, and they get over it once they adjust to a new
environment/surroundings and people.

I tried to tell her that some ferrets will fall so deeply into depression,
some do come around, but unfortunately some don't, all because of a broken
bond.

What I am looking for here is some first hand experiences, so can you
please email me any situations that you have had encountered where a
ferret/human bond had been sadly broken for whatever reason. I'm sure
that I will have to endure reading some really sad situations. But I
really want to prove my point to my sister. I'm the one who has owned
ferrets for the past 7-8 years, my sister Kim never has.

Please email me directly with your experiences. I will save them and print
them off for my sister to read, maybe then she will better understand the
'love' of a ferret and the bond that they form with their human Mom's and
Dad's.
