I think my ferret is partially, about 80%, blind.

1. She sleeps with her eyes open.

2. I waive my hand in front of her but she only moves her head if she's
   close enough to smell it.

3. When it's pitch dark and I turn on a bright light and point it at her she
doesn't even flinch, same serious wide eyed look on her face. I even move
the light for her to follow it, but no go.

4. When I go to play with her she runs for dear life until I speak or get
close enough for her to smell me. I use to think she was just a crazy
   dookhead.

Doe's anybody know any other tests I could give her before I take her to the
vet? If she is blind maybe I can get another play pal for free from the
breeder, since she has a guarantee(sp?).

It makes me sad though to think that my favorite play pal is blind.

Thanks for any advice,
Robin.
