Well, it turns out that the airlines are NOT making up some of their
concerns in relation to pets:

Was in the Borders yesterday trying to find the Aug 30 Business Week
(Steve's in it -- internet music article, not ferret) and instead found
that Jeanne's year 2000 Ferret Calendar was in!
 
Spoke with Peter Vallon's office in NYC: City Hall, NYC, NY 10007;
1-212-788-7210 and they want to hear MORE from ferret supporters.  The
identities are being kept private.  It was good to hear that so many
people had written or called supporting ferrets, but there have also been
communications from people who believe the worst of the myths, so get in
touch!!!!!  Especially important -- OF COURSE -- are those from folks who
are in NYC and adore ferrets, so keep writing and calling (especially
writing)!!!!!!!  (Folks upstate and on L.I.: write to Guilliani letting him
know how people in large numbers there LOVE ferrets -- he might go on a
public ferret-insulting rampage afterward if the legislation passes UNLESS
he realizes that doing so will injure his bid for the Senate.)
