I have a couple of questions...
 
1)  How old should a ferret be when it gets it's rabies shot?  My
    ferret was born in the first week of April.  She hasn't been to the
    vet, and is doing fine.  Except...
 
2)  Can some one describe what ferret hissing sounds like?  I *HOPE*
    that is what I heard from Feasel today.  It almost sounded like she
    was gasping for air.  But after I picked her up, she sounded fine.
    I listened to her chest, and didn't hear anything (Can I?).  Right
    now she is clucking, and hopping, and running all over my bedroom.
 
If it was hissing, I think I don't what brought it on.  About a month
ago, I bought her one of those squeaky dog toys (I know, I watch her
with it).  Well, I hid it under my blanket, and started making it
squeak.  She came over, and was looking for it, and couldn't figure it
out.  After I showed her, she hissed at it and left.  About 30 seconds
later, she climbed over me (I was laying on the bed), and back to the
banana squeaky toy, and she hissed at it again.  This is when I picked
her up as described before.
