Laura, I am so sorry for your loss.  I have never been a fan of burial,
until I lost two of my ferrets.  I found it immensely healing to bury
them in my sunny rose garden with their favorite toys and a vial of
ferrotone, then placed an appropriate memorial over each grave.  I still,
when working out there, place a few blossoms on each grave and tell them
how I love and miss them.  I don't know why, but somehow, it helped me.
