Hunting with ferrets is illegal in the US. But what a number of people
have found helpful is to apply 'ferret poop tea' to an area with unwanted
critters. The smell alone can apparently hold them at bay. (Umm, let me
rephrase that. Apparently the smell of poop from what they percieve to be
a predator scares them off.)
