Maybe Roberto or someone in the Military can help me with this one: A Navy
guy just called my shelter and asked if I knew what one had to to in order
to take one's ferret to Italy. I recall Roberto saying he had a hassle with
Italian customs... My advice was to make sure all vaccinations were up to
date and easily legible, and check with the Italian Embassy (phone/address
given in the D.C. phonebook) well before departure. Can anyone provide
more concrete advide on what to expect? I'd like to help this guy out and
have the information on hand; the question is sure to come up again.

                         thanks, Judith Sanders
