I had the same thing happen to one of my dogs.  My Mom gave him a small
round bone from a slice of ham and the hole got stuck on one of his back
teeth and I couldn't even see it, but noticed he was just sitting there
with his mouth hanging open and wondered why and finally I checked and
saw the bone.  Only this was at midnight and i had to call and get my Vet
out of bed, but at least he was able to pull it off with some pliers.
But he said if I had waited much longer, it would have swollen and then
it would have been worse.  My Vet won't let me forget that one !!!!!  So
now I ALWAYS check bones for correct size and NO HOLES !!!!!!  I even
check the ferret food and cat & dog food That I buy to make sure it
doesn't come in circles - one time was enough for me !!!
