I can't believe your vet never heard of this!
 
You can order it from KV Vet Supply (1-800-423-8211).  It comes in 1 ounce
dropper bottle for $4.29 or a 4 ounce bottle for $4.99 (double-check the
price.  That is what is printed in the catalog).
 
You can probably get it from Jeffers too (1-800-JEFFERS).  I just don't have
that catalog next to the computer.
