yet another "proof" that ferrets are truly blessed.

We ordered Chinese food the another night and when we came to the end of
meal my SO started retrieving the fortune cookies from their bags. Of
course all that crinkling of paper brought Bungie out to investigate. She
was desperate to get in the fortune cookie bags to find out what all the
excitement was about.

I finally held out a bag for her, not thinking that she would take a
fortune cookie, but rather just sniff around and lose interest. WRONG.
She pulled out a cookie and scampered away with it to the kitchen.

I then thought oh great now there'll be a decaying fortune cookie under the
microwave cart. WRONG. A few minutes later we hear the distinctive
crunching sounds of ferrets with food. My SO then says "I wonder what her
fortune was?"

So we go over to look. There's bungie in the middle of the floor eating the
cookie but...no fortune anywhere. I'm already thinking of calling the vet
to ask what I should do with a ferret who ate a piece of paper when I think
to check under the microwave cart just in case. Sure enough there's the
other half of the cookie with the fortune.

I fell over in hysterics when I read it:

                "You are sociable and entertaining"

bernard "there must be something to these chinese forunes"
&
bungie "i'm also smart, pretty, fun, tired, excited..all at the same time!"
