I want to get a new sofa because I hate my futon sofa. I have only had
one ferret for one year, so I don't have a lot of experience with this,
but Rocky doesn't seem as bad as other ferrets when it comes to digging
into furniture. He has a lot of freedom and he's very secure and happy.
I know of one ferret who burrowed into the sofa so that his humans
couldn't get him to put him in his cage.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the type of fabric that a ferret
is LEAST likely to destroy? Is leather better than cloth? Is a flat
tightly-woven fabric better than one with more texture? (This is true
for cats; it is less appealing to scratch on.)

I am willing to get a piece of plywood to cover the bottom so Rocky can't
dig his way in that way.

Please email me any suggestions.
