      - WE NEED A VETERINARIAN OR EXPERIENCE FERRET OWNER ADVISE -
      ============================================================

The problem is the following: last weekend, FURET MON AMI has participated
to an exposition on domestic animals in Quebec, Canada. We have brought 6
ferrets to expose them to the public. The ferrets have been manipulated by
us and every people who wanted to touch these special little babies. After
3 or 4 hours, all ferrets were completely knocked out, sleeping, even with
all the nose and action, in our harms. So we have put them back in their
cage and let them sleep for awhile.

Four hours later, we have decided to take one ferret to continue the pre-
sentation. Then, we have experienced something absolutely strange.Four out
of six ferrets did not want to wake up. They were dead-like animals. We try
to talk to them, shake them, cry their name loudly without results. Then we
try to give some NutriCAL (supplement food they like very much). After 1.5
and 2 minutes of reanimation works, 3 of them "wake up?" very slowly. The
last one took 1 more minute to reanimate.

We have heard some rumors about that. Some specialists told us that this
was normal and we just have to wait their natural waking, while some others
said it was dangerous that the ferret fall in a kind of coma (anaemia) so
we must wake them up by force to restore their system. What to believe ?

--> If someone could give us an answer and explain us what happen with the
metabolism of the ferret in that situation, we will be very grateful.

Is their someone else who experienced this situation before ?
    What have you done ?
Is it true that they can fall in an unrecoverable coma or anaemia ?
Is there a relation between that situation and the food ?

All the ferrets have between 2 and 5 years old and are in very good shape.

FURET MON AMI wants to give the best care to their ferrets. A big thank you
to those who will answer us.

If someone is interested to exchange some digitized RGB pictures, let
     me know.
