1. A friend has a ferret who first became really crazy for about 15 minutes,
   running and jumping and attacking, and then went completely limp and
   unresponsive for about four hours.  Karo syrup on the mouth didn't help,
   and the vet also determined it was not insulinoma.  What is it?  Can
   ferrets get epilepsy?
 
2. A guy here in Albuquerque called and said he wants to start a ferret
   shelter and wants to know how to go about doing so.  I said I didn't
   really know what it takes, but I would ask you folks here.  Please e-mail
   me individually with any pertinent info.
