>Hi FML we just got this new product in my store today its called
>BIO-SPOT for Ferrets

The FHL Complete Archives server was down or I think I'd have had info
from there for you, too.

Here is info on Biospot from the FML Archives:

http://listserv.cuny.edu/Scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind9809&L=ferret-search&P=R10835
(This one is from a VET saying that Biospot is TOXIC for ferrets and
cats with the comment:
"USE ADVANTAGE or PROGRAM or anything else your VET tells you is ok.
CONTROL, BIOSPOT, ect ARE ALL TOXIC TO FERRETS AND CATS don't let anyone
tell you otherwise or you will have DEAD ferrets.)". )

There are a LOT more along the same vein...

And here is the write up which tells what VETS say are safe to use on
ferrets for fleas, ticks, etc:

While I understand that this is new product the track record for Biospot
stinks so I personally would not risk it and would stick to the things
that vets know work and are safe if we were in that situation. Saving a
few bucks to lose a ferret or to ris damaging the ferret forever (If it
is weakened enough to not kill it may still do organ damage that will be
paid for down the line.) is not worth it to me.

Just remember that if you have curtains some climb those and then this
won't work. We put in one of those expandable "keep out the rain" panels
as well as having wire screens and so far the combo has always worked for
us.

Yes, sorry. The only virus I had was the human kind (which Steve has
now but not as strongly so I was pretty blown out between lack of sleep
caring for Chiclet and having gotten ill from being run down. Yes, an
FML member has a virus in her Windows machine and the virus sent me a
copy of a past due bill she had been sent. When these things raid a
person's computers they can send out things those folks never wanted to
share publicly. And, no, the FML does NOT spread viruses; it can't
spread them.

Chiclet is in the hospital on IV antibiotics and we are waiting for
follow-up tests from the pathologist and for a consultant's ideas. She
is a bit better than yesterday, now being just "kind of flat" according
to vet. She wants to eat, wants treats, and still loves music and
cuddles, and we all hope to save this little 6 month old who has been
ill for a month now. We know that it is some form of infection with
cellulitis, probably bacterial but maybe fungal, and they also are making
sure that it is not the worst possible scenario even though that is not
likely.
