This is from an esteemed friend of mine in the health industry. I feel
it is vitally important that everyone on this mailing list forward
this to your ferret loving friends and get all to write to P&G and
voice your opinion on changing the formula of EVO.

Thanks

Putorius and the Fab 5

Following is the advice I received:

With regard to Evo, having worked at a consumer healthcare group, such
as P&G, it is important to contact their Product Franchise folks and
voice your opinion. My key concern is with them changing to a less
expensive second component. Tom with Totally Ferret wrote in the
American Ferret Report the importance of the first three ingredients
being "meat" (fish, chicken, etc.) Right now there is no product on
the US market with the first 3 ingredients meeting that criterion. T.
Ferret switched, so I stopped using it. Marshalls has the first as
poultry, and the second as herring meal, the third being grain. Evo was
to be very low in carb. If they modify the formula to decrease the meat
component, they will lose the "point of difference" with other products
on the US market, and the entire purpose of providing Evo.
