Wow!  I have gotten so many positive replies and support from that simple
post that I don't know what to say!  (And not one flame).  Apparently,
there are many more in the same situation than I ever thought.
 
To all those who have written, I want to say "Thanks!" for your
encouragement, support and ideas.  I feel better just knowing that *I*
(*we*) are not alone.  Maybe we need an "Impoverished Ferret Owners Club"
or something!  It sounds like it would go over big (as long as the dues
are $0.00 :o).
