In response to CT Hart's Hairy Question:

No.

Ferret dander is closer to human dander than it is to either dogs or cats.
My wife is so alergic to cats that she will develop alergic reactions if we
drive within 50 feet of a cat at 70 ...err 55 mph :-). Yet our 4 ferrets
(6 ferrets until last night, when their new owners picked up two of our kits)
walk all over her. Furthermore, she just spent a whole day in a room with
over 100 ferrets in it at a NAFA Championship Ferret show.

So I can safely say that there is no relationship between cat dander and
ferret dander. In fact, now that I think of it, I don't think that I have
ever met _anyone_ who was alergic to ferrets.
