my only advice to the rosco issue is give it time. I have adopted two boys
over the past nine years that I have had ferrets and never had a problem
(bringing them into all girl households, then Tieke moved in with Escher
(girl) ,Chaos (girl), and Josephus (boy, but adoptee). but the two girls
I've adopted in - man - it is just does not happen right away. Niblet, who
I've had almost three years now STILL does not get along with Nero and
Widget (I adopted her as an adult who was abused by another ferret and she
is convinced both Nero and Widget are that other ferret). But Figment, my
latest female adoptee, is better. She is not getting along yet, but after
four months now, things are progressing. She eats a lot now (also, I don't
cage so my experiences may differ from someone who does) and has figured out
that she is much faster than the other ferrets. Maybe someday, she's even
sleep on the others.

anyway, be patient and GOOD LUCK!
