I am writing for someone who contacted me about having two ferrets that he
can longer keep, as he has gotten a puppy for his birthday.  He is a
student at the University of Tennessee.  The male ferret is a marked white
(if I understand his description) and is 5 months old.  The female is a
sable and she is 6 months old.  He has a "3 level" cage that will come with
the ferrets.
 
Our local shelter is at maximum capacity and we'd like to try to find
another option before taking the ferrets there especially since they are so
young.  He says they have no behavioral problems and are not nippers.  They
are in good health.  He says the only problem he has is that the girl runs
behind the refrigerator and won't come out sometimes.
 
I am willing to drive quite a distance up to about 6 hours or so to deliver
these guys to a good home.  We will be in North and middle Alabama for Xmas
holidays and I have family in Memphis, TN.  The owner is also from northern
Virginia and I'm thinking he could deliver the ferrets over Xmas break as
well.
 
PLEASE let me know if anyone is interested.  I will be out of town this
weekend, so I won't be able to respond to messages till Monday.  I'm posting
this on both FFML and FML, so please forgive the repetition!
