Heloo everyone,

As you all know, I support the Rabies Research projects being underwritten
by the Morris Animal Foundation. Well, I got their Friends & Family
newsletter today and will reprint a tidbit from page 3 here:

"This year we [MAF] are administering four new wildlife studies:
* Expression of Recombinant Rhinoceros ......
* Black-Footed Ferret Wastage Reduction: Modeling Increased Production of
the Captive Endangered Population for Species Survival
* Rabies Pathogenesis in Ferrets: Phase II
* Investigation into the Properties of the Acrosomal Cap.... "

Anyway, you have by now noticed that MAF has our pets listed under wildlife
studies.

I still support the studies, but if you are thinking of contributing, please
include a note telling them our ferrets are companion animals. And if you
are not going to contribute, write them anyway and tell them you won't
contribute until they recognize ferrets as domesticated companion animals in
their studies.
