I don't know what part of Maryland you are in, but when we lived in Bethesda
(3 years ago, now) we used the "Tender Loving Cat Care" (TLCC) company to
come to our apartment and check on our 3 fuzzies.  We used a sitter named
Kathy a couple of times, but I think they have other ferret-familiar sitters
as well.  I cant remember how much it cost per visit, but we found them to
be very responsible and caring.  Their number was 301-258-7745.
