Brandy, my 10 month old female, has had a constant cough/hack since we got
her (approx. 8 wks). She often sounds like she's sneezing, coughing, hacking,
and even wheezing. I've talked to her Vet about this and he said that its
not much to worry about unless she goes into "fits" a lot. Her younger
brother only coughs/sneezes on occasion so I'm not sure if it's the room
we're in or Brandy. It is VERY dusty here but no way I can change that. I've
tried giving her more Laxatone thinking maybe she was coughing up something
(it sounds like she has a hairball sometimes) but no change. It isn't
literally a Constant thing but it does seem to be more often than the
occasional and expected sneeze, etc. She doesn't seem like it's a cold or
anything - like I said she's done this forever. Maybe I'm just paranoid but
it's so distressing sometimes and I feel so helpless. I've heard people
talk about vaporizers, should I try this? Do ferrets get asthma or allergies?
I don't recall that it happens more frequently at any particular time.

                                Thanx for any help,
                                        Angi Brandy & Blaze
