I am writing for a friend of mine who needs help.  She has 5 ferrets, on of
which was just diagnosed with ostanoma.  First of all, she needs more info
on this...is it operable, how long before it comes back etc.?  She was told
to take her ferret, a sweet girl by the name of Patches, to Columbus for
further tests and that an operation would cost between $250 and
$500....unfortunately, they can not afford this.  I am planning on helping
out finanially and possibly driving Patches to the vet in Columbus, b I
can't aford that much either.  Any sugestions will be greatly appreciated!!
Please respond soon, or it may be too late... her husband thinks they should
put Patches to sleep!  :-(
