Doses of Proglycem and Prednisone

Dear FML:
 
Bill, our insulinomic ferret, has begun a protocol of prednisone and
proglycem.  He weighs three pounds and is getting 1/2 of a 5mg tablet of
pred twice a day at 6:30 am and 9:30 pm.
 
He has just started the proglycem (liquid) and is getting 0.1 ml four
times a day.
 
Does anyone out there have any ferrets doing this?  And if so how has it
been for them and what kind of dosage are you using?
 
Please advise...we would appreciate any help.
