I feel that your decision to keep the found ferret without ascertaining
how the ferret got loose again, is wrong and dishonest.  'Stupidity' is
not the only reason ferrets get loose.  A guest in the house could have let
the animal go by accident.  Perhaps the owner is out of town and someone
charged with looking after the ferret let it escape.  Or a child..there are
many reasons and you didn't even try to find out why.  Shame on you.  Put
yourself in this person's shoes...how would you feel?  Upset?  Hurt?  Guilt
ridden?  Think about it.

Well..I am sorry, but I don't find your vet's reasoning sound.  Good thing
I don't live near you, the vet would get an earful from me.  It is the
vet's job to administer to the animal, not to encourage you to possibly
deny a reunion between rightful owner and his pet.

Again, good thing I don't live in your neck of the woods...what you did,
no matter your reasoning, was wrong.  I sure wouldn't want you representing
me in any way.
 
Go talk to the Russian gentleman..he deserves at least a chance to answer
for the lost ferret.  If you are running for a political office, you must
know someone who could find an interpreter for you..the local college or
University can help there.
