I keep hearing, reading, about PetsMart selling ferrets in Las Vegas.
I live here. I got in the car and went looking. No ferret sales. I
talked to general managers, no ferret sales - yet. Still the rumor
abounds. Its on the Ferrets Anonymous website. It was posted here
yesterday.

Okay, 'Vegas is one if the fastest growing cities in the country, maybe I
missed a PetsMart. Not likely the phone company doesn't have a listing,
or that the other store managers don't know about it, but I like to be
thorough. So I emailed PetsMart and asked where they were selling
ferrets in Las Vegas:

Dear Brenda,

Thank you for your email. At this time PETsMART is not selling Ferrets
at any of our stores in the state of Nevada.

Thank You,

Guess that covers Las Vegas........

Ferret folks I really appreciate the 'say no to PetsMart' movement. I
started yelling way back in October. I have a webpage dedicated to it:

I hand out form letters for people to oppose it. But, currently,
there are NO PetsMarts selling ferrets in Las Vegas or the surrounding
communities. There are shelters offering them for adoption, but no
retail sales.

To maintain any creditability, we need to verify our information so we
are not considered rumor mongers ourselves, ignorant of any factual
information and therefore fanatics that do not deserve anyone's time or
attention.

Don't quit complaining, don't stop the emails, letters and phone calls,
just be cautious of your information.

Sincerely,
Brenda Steelman
